That's what he said he would do. A bit 'bigger and heavier than I had imagined. Battery life is not bad - but get a replacement - would almost certainly be necessary. Getting a decent size SD card - you fill up faster than you thing. Shape makes it difficult to climb for sport activities or anything, unless you use a sleeve.

Canon people have really passed their latest, top-of-the-line, flash memory HD camcorder. It 'about the size of a can of Coke, and fits comfortably in your hand, but plays at a very high level. Images that are not really beautiful, thanks to the high quality 10x lens, unprecedented in this class 1/2.6in., 8.59 megapixels and Canon is a very powerful image processor. If you play directly on the HDTV via an HDMI-HDMI mini cable (like this one, I), or converted for editing with Roxio Toast Titanium 10 or Final Cut Express 4 (for Mac users), produces images (at 1080) are very different and beautiful. What is more at hand is that it can take quite an impressive 8-megapixel photos, which means that you can finally leave the camera at home and only carry a recording device.

This camera is easy to use, even for an old man. There are not many buttons. Makes me happy. I use a Mac download easily. Are able to post videos on You Tube. I can e-mail short videos. I have not tried to change, so I can not go. The video and audio quality is pretty darn good.
